From the plane, Hong Kong looks like a uniform city made of concrete and glass high rise buildings surrounded by nature and the South China Sea. From the inside, the city is extremely colourful dotted with pastel colored sports stadiums, school buildings and still many "composite buildings" with sky blue, pink, green and yellow facades, embellished by Cantonese calligraphy panels and clothing drying on hanging racks.
